Pablo Bertone Named to 2013-14 C-USA All Conference 1st Team

Florida Atlantic senior guard Pablo Bertone has been named to the 2013-14 C-USA Men's Basketball All Conference Team as announced by the league office on Monday morning.

Bertone ended the regular season as the league's scoring leader, averaging 18.9 points per game. He became the 11th Owl in school history to score 1,000 points during a game at Middle Tennessee on Feb. 6, then followed that up two days later with a career-high 34 points against UAB. Bertone, a native of Arroyito, Argentina, also earned C-USA Player of the Week honors following a 31-point performance in a win over intrastate foe UCF in non-conference play.

The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has named Florida Atlantic University guard Pablo Bertone to the All District-11 First Team, the organization announced today.

The Arroyito, Argentina native was FAU's leading scorer this season, averaging 19.0 points per game. On Feb. 6 against Middle Tennessee, Bertone became the 11th 1,000-point scorer in school history.  Bertone had 13 20-point games during the season, including a career-high 34 points against UAB.

NABC District 11 is composed entirely of universities from Conference USA and the teams were voted on by NABC members from around the nation. Bertone is now eligible for the NABC Coaches' Division I All-America Team.
