Projected Starting Pitchers

FAU - LHP Brandon Rhodes (2-0, 2.05 ERA)
UF -   RHP  Karsten Whitson (1-0, 5.65 ERA)

Florida Atlantic snapped a five game losing streak on Sunday thanks to Drew Jackson's solid performance against Southern Miss.

Tyler Rocklein  picked up his first home run of the year (2 RBI) in the 3-1 win, while going .500 for the series with a .800 slugging percentage.  Three other Owls registered marks of .300 or better at the plate in SS Stephen Kerr, CF Billy Endris, and 1B Ricky Santiago.

LHP Brandon Rhodes (2-0) will be making his fourth start of the season on Tuesday. The sophomore saw 1.2 innings of action last Friday, allowing just a hit while striking out two batters.

The Gators have won four straight, knocking off #1 FSU at their place before taking three from #4 LSU in Gainesville. After being out for a while, that performance has them back in multiple Top 25 in multiple polls, and as high as 12th.

UF has claimed 13 of its last 16 contests and boasts a 15-5 (.750) record at McKethan Stadium this year. Sixteen of their 28 total games have been decided by two runs or less.

Redshirt junior RHP Karsten Whitson (1-0, 5.65) will make his fifth start of the season on Tuesday and first career appearance against FAU.

We've suffered some brutal losses to this team, would be nice to get a W.

Teambeer is the most knowledgeable FAU sports fan I know, way smarter than me.

Rhodes is our best shot at righting the ship, just need to crank out the runs.

Agreed Rick. Young arm that is not intimidated by anyone. We just need to get him a lead. Take the pressure off. We'll see. We have had a tough time of that lately.
