This is a great hire this guy coached Kwame Brown and a 38 year old AIPosted On: Apr 7th 2014, 6:45 PM #330711
And he took that team to the playoffs (BTW, AI was 33). What is your point exactly?

"Despite these changes (including his firing), the team regressed even further, hampered by injuries to key players. On March 23, 2010, the Pistons were eliminated from playoff contention with a loss to the Indiana Pacers, assuring their first Draft Lottery appearance and their first 50-loss season since 2001. The Pistons finished with a 27–55 record, and were last in the Central Division. It was their worst record since 1994. Another 50-loss season, this time finishing at 30–52, led to the firing of Kuester at the end of the 2010–11 season."
His Pistons team suffered numerous serious injuries but the still made the NBA playoffs at 38-43 then losing in the 1st roung to current Heat player LeBron James then with Cleveland.
Lots of NBA coaching experience though and I hope he can tap into the BIG Ga. BB HS recruiting market for at least one player a year from up here being he is from Augusta and went to Ga. Southern.

I gather that Chun wanted a high character guy, because that's his mold, so I think we have that. Seems like Curry is a players coach, well respected by NBA players under him, which is great, but how does that equate to recruiting and running a sound collegiate program?

Gotta say I'm scratching my head on this one.

NBA history both as a player and coach so NBA connections can be used as an asset in recruiting. He is a D specialist in coaching terms and if you can hold any team to the low 60's or less you have a shot at winning. Look at most of the NCAA Tourney games, much lower scoring than regular season contests.
