Partridge Completes Staff with Addition of Graduate Assistant Patrick Muldoon

Post

Florida Atlantic University Athletics has completed its 2014 football staff with the addition of Patrick Muldoon as defensive graduate assistant, named by FAU Football Head Coach Charlie Partridge

Muldoon will join the Owls after a stellar collegiate playing career at the University of Wisconsin where he was a defensive lineman from 2009-13. His transition to the coaching profession will be brief with his familiarity of both Partridge, who served as Muldoon's defensive line coach at Wisconsin from 2009-12, and FAU Assistant Coach and Defensive Line Coach Terrance Jamison, who played at Wisconsin from 2005-07 and served as the Badger's defensive quality control coach in 2011 and graduate assistant in 2012.

Muldoon was a consensus All-Big Ten honorable mention selection in 2013 and a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree (2010, 2012). The Ohio native, who played in every 2013 game and drew 10 starts, earned his fourth Badger letter. Muldoon was a member of four bowl teams and appeared in three-consecutive Rose Bowls. He concluded his four-year career with 49 games played, 64 tackles including 12.5 tackles for a loss of 46 yards. He accumulated 6.5 sacks and two interceptions. Coming out of high school, Muldoon was ranked as the nation's No. 28 best defensive end and the 32nd best player in the state of Ohio. He earned first-team All-State, All-City, All-District and All-League honors as a senior and was named Ohio Defensive Player of the Year. Those accolades were just a continuation of his junior year's performance, a year that he earned Second Team All-State, First-Team All-District, All-City and All-League honors. In all, he recorded 170 tackles as a three-year letter winner and served as a team captain his senior season.

He was one the big uglies on the defensive line that included JJ Watt. Welcome to S. Flo Muldoon. Fellow Badger and Owl.

Coach Partridge must think a lot of this young man to give him this position. To Patrick , welcome to FAU. I always love getting brand new people on board. NO ONE works harder than new people wanting to make a name for themselves. Congratulations on your new job. Go Owls. Six more weeks.
