Folks might want to take note of the Hilltopper offense.
Former FAU QB commit Brandon Doughty became the 10th player in C-USA history to pass for 500+ yards in a game.
He finished with 569, off a 46-of-56 showing and 6 touchdowns.

BG a favorite to win the MAC? Only 5 returning starters on D (and it showed) with new FCS Coaching staff (and it showed). A positive is that the WKU D was not so hot and NO TEAM runs almost 100 plays without a turnover very ofter. IT WILL AVERAGE OUT!Jack David Whidden III said

And the positive out of the UTSA game is their O was not real good. The D produced lots of turnovers and they did score off of 'em! Home schedule has challanges we have to step up to (which we have to anyhow!). Go Owls!

Troy 10 UAB 48
The Trojans took an early 7-0 lead, but quickly saw the Blazers avenge last season's 34-31 loss in OT therafter. This was fueled by 338 yards on the ground - where four TD's were had.

The Owls' defense did not live up to expectations, allowing a program record for most yards surrendered - 784.
Husker RB Ameer Abdullah (232 yards) and QB Tommy Armstrong Jr. (271 yards, 15-of-29) each saw career efforts.
Nebraska won their won their 29th straight season opener, which is currently the nations longest consecutive mark.

Marshall 42 Miami (Ohio) 27
Thundering Herd QB Rakeem Cato continued his quest towards the record books after completing a TD pass for the 33rd straight contest.
He needs just six more successful games to pass the all-time mark of 38 set by Russell Wilson (NC State, 2007-10).

Hampton 28 Old Dominion 41
Despite two picks, Monarch QB Taylor Heinicke was otherwise efficient with 281 yards and a 3TD off a 29-of-40 overall showing.
Hampton did have the better showing through the air with 407 yards, but the ground attack was no where to be found - netting only nine yards for the tilt.
