FINAL:

Rice 17  #17 Notre Dame 48

Alleged academic cheating slightly hampered a desired first game two deep, but had no affect in the end for the Irish, as they somewhat justified their ranking by taking care of the other C-USA Owls in handy fashion.

It was a four point game with 5:51 to play in the first half, however from there Notre Dame closed on a 34-7 scoring run.

FINAL:

Bethune Cookman 14  FIU 12

The Panthers are still in search of offense. They totaled 180 yards.

This could explain why they cancelled media day, and later denied a credential to the Miami Herald.

Oh man! FIU. Losing two years in a row to the same FCS team. Go BC.

After setting school records and tying the conference mark for touchdown passes in his first game in Conference USA, WKU senior QB Brandon Doughty has been named the C-USA Offensive Player of the Week.

The Defensive Player of the Week honor went to UTSA senior LB Jens Jeters, who led a dominant Roadrunners defense in a 27-7 win at Houston.

The Special Teams Player of the Week award went to FIU senior PR Richard Leonard, who set a school record for punt return yards in a game. C-USA Football Players of the Week are voted on by a panel of the league's media.
