Notables

East Carolina, who is 24-8 in November games under head coach Jeff Lebo, is coming off a 79-54 win over Central Connecticut last Sunday. The team shot a whopping 72% in the first half.

The Pirates also got a big performance from their bench, with guards B.J. Tyson and Lance Tejada each connecting for 14 points off 50% shooting from the floor.

It was the fifth time in 2014-15 that they have outmatched opponents therein, and Tyson is now tied for a team best five double digit efforts for the season.

Forward Michel Nzege matched his career-high with 18 points and became the first player in school history to make nine field goals without a miss.

FAU at a Glance:

Offense - 59.2 PPG, 41.3% FG, 30.7% 3PT

Defense - 60.2 PGA, 41.9% FGA, 20.0% 3PTA

Rebounding - 31.4 PG Team, 34.6 PG Opponents

Notables

Despite a lackluster first half offensively until late, the Owls took down Ave Maria 54-43 on Sunday afternoon - once again behind Jackson Trapp's hot shooting.

Trapp didn't match his career high in points (23), which was set against the Gyrenes last season, but did establish a new career mark in three point field goals with six made.

The Owls continue to work on long range percentage efficiency, however have bucketed more than opponents in each contest on the year thus far. They will be challenged in that regard Wednesday.

"They play a lot of four out and one in and they're going to shoot a lot of threes", said Coach Michael Curry. "Dribble penetration is going to be big. Definitely going to have to rebound better.'

It's Toys for Tots night at The Burrow. fans were encouraged to bring gifts for the needy.

The crowd is pretty sparse tonight, with the student side maybe 25 percent full and the ticketed side maybe one-third full. There isn't much energy here, considering the opponent.
