Stetson at a Glance:
Offense - 64.6 PPG, 47.7% FG, 33.7% 3PT
Defense - 72.5 PGA, 43.1% FGA, 35.3% 3PTA
Rebounding - 32.0 PG Team, 37.9 PG Opponents
Notables
Despite a career-high 15 points by Stetson's B.J. Glasford, the hatters were blown out by Davidson, 90-59, thanks to 16 three-pointers. The Hatters' defense has been suspect, giving up 24 treys in two games.
FAU should be able to continue its stinginess with the three-pointer as Stetson was only 7-of-31 from beyond the arc against Davidson. They were averaging 7 three-pointers.
Stetson has lost two in a row (IPFW and Davidson) and is 3-7 on the season. The Hatters have been idle since Dec. 6.
With seven scholarship true freshmen on the roster, according to Stetson SID Ricky Hazel, there is no way for the Hatters to escape the fact that they are a fairly young and inexperienced team. How inexperienced? Stetson is tied with five other schools as having the most scholarship true freshmen in the country. The others: Binghamton, Georgia Southern, St. Louis, Seton Hall, and UTSA
FAU at a Glance:
Offense - 60.3 PPG, 41.9% FG, 32.0% 3PT
Defense - 57.9 PGA, 39.2% FGA, 21.7% 3PTA
Rebounding - 32.1 PG Team, 34.9 PG Opponents
Notables
This will be the fourth meeting in the last three seasons between FAU and Stetson. The Hatters won last year's game in Deland 64-62, despite 10 points and eight rebounds by Justin Raffington.
With Saturday's 54-41 drubbing of UCF in Orlando, FAU has now defeated the Knights two consecutive times. In 2013, the Owls beat the Knights 75-64 in Boca Raton, thanks to 13 points by Jackson Trapp and 11 by Marquan Botley. Trapp and freshman guard Malcolm Laws must have especially enjoyed their trip. They hail from the Orlando area.
While holding UCF without a field goal for 16 minutes from late in the first period, FAU went on a 26-2 run to essentially put the game away. Five Owls scored during the streak. UCF's only points were by Shaheed Davis and B. J. Taylor FTs. UCF's 41 points were the second lowest scored by the Knights since they joined Division I (1984-85) and they shot just 16.1 percent from the floor in the second half.
The Owls led by as many as 20 points before sloppy play allowed UCF to make up some ground and make the score look respectable for the Knights.
Saturday's marked coach Michael Curry's first road win. It came 10 months to the day since FAU's last road win, a 71-69 win over at UTEP on Feb. 13, 2014.

Then Raffington made a three and Massey stole an inbounds pass and scored. 14-2 FAU with 13:10 to play.
