The Series

The Terriers took the lone meeting 59-57 in Boca Raton last season. With the game on the line and time nearing the end, the Owls elected not to call timeout, and were unable get a clean look on their final possession as Jackson Trapp was forced to launch an off-balance shot which missed.

Terriers at a Glance

Offense - 68.0 PPG, 38.7% FG, 26.7% 3PT

Notables

With a core of returnees from 2013-14's unit, Northeast Conference Coaches have pegged St. Francis to win their league behind 60% of the votes tallied.

The Terriers are off to a rough start though, most recently losing at home 72-64 to Delaware State. Ironically, this occurred despite pulling down 19 more rebounds than the Hornets. But the main contributor was a 3-of-21 (14.3%) showing from long range.

Jalen Cannon earned his fifth double-double of the season (32nd career) with a team-high 16 points and 10 rebounds while Tyreek Jewell, Glenn Sanabria, and Lowell Ulmer all added 10 points.  Cannon has led St. Francis in scoring five times and in rebounding six times this season.

St. Francis is one of 54 current DI teams that has never appeared in the NCAA Tournament.

FAU at a Glance

Offense - 62.6 PPG, 42.8% FG, 34.0% 3PT

Defense - 59.2 PGA, 40.8% FGA, 24.0% 3PTA

Rebounding - 32.1 PG Team, 34.4 PG Opponents

Notables

Fresh off the heels of Tuesday's 79-69 win over in state rival Stetson, the Owls are currently on a four game win streak, which matches a mark last set during the 2010-11 slate.

Georgia Tech transfer Solomon Poole received word that day from the NCAA that he could play this season, and responded by pouring out a 23 point performance. Senior Justin Raffington picked up his 11th career double-double in the affair as well.

The Owls are 4-0 in 2014-15 when recording 11 or more assists. Of note defensively, they have held held three opponents to less than 50 points - something which had taken the course of the last three prior seasons combined to achieve.

Counting Saturday's tilt, FAU will have just three more non-conference contests before opening league play on January 4th against arch rival Florida International in The Burrow.
