M8 The Hawks place two on, but the Owls turn their first double-play of the evening to end the threat. MON 5 FAU 7.

B8 After managing only a hit through five innings of action, the Owls have exploded for NINE since, and add another run courtesy of THREE straight singles (Miller, Dicks RBI, Kerr). FAU with a three run cushion at 8-5 and looking for more with just one out.

E8 Dicks comes in on a double steal to make it a four run deficit for the Hawks. Bo Logan steps to the rubber to close this one out. Final line on Carr: 1IP, 2H, 0R, 0BB, 1K.

After allowing a lead-off single, Logan shuts the door once again by retiring three straight (Pop, K, K).

Roman Collins was 2-for-4 with 3RBI, and Christian Dicks went 2-for-4 with 2RBI.

FAU had FIVE doubles for the contest!

The Owls (7-2) will face the Hawks tomorrow at 4:00 PM for game two!

FYI, FAU baseball is still mathematically alive.  This will be the sport that will make it to post season and the school doesn't care. 7-2. Nice start. Lets take two more.

depending on weather, we may or may not head to the game tomorrow. its not looking good.

GAME ONE OFFICIAL BOX SCORE:

It's extremely encouraging to see this team this year falling behind and making comebacks. Last year that was not happening. Granted would rather see us jump out to the lead, but seems like a very gritty team so far 

we have guys coming back from injury soon according to coach mac that should help us out.
