One of my favorite sporting events is this weekend. The Indianapolis 500.  I don't consider myself a car guy or a racing guy, but this is an incredible event.

This has been a part of my Memorial Day weekend for the last 42 years.

I have been to a Super Bowl, a World Series, but have been to eighteen Indy 500s, and have attended or watched it for 42 years.

It may be one of those sports where if you watch it on TV you don't have the appreciation for it until you witness it in person.

The defending Champion is Ryan Hunter-Reay, who has stated he used to drive his go kart (as a kid) on the streets of West Boca and drove his neighbors crazy.
