Notes
The Owls bounced back from a crushing 2-1 loss to the Blazers on Friday afternoon by erasing a 3-1 deficit to deaft host Southern Miss 5-4. They will need to win two games against the Blazers today to advance to the Championship Game.
UAB has won four of their last five games entering Saturday's action and have allowed only one run in tournament play thus far - at the hands of the Owls. The Blazers enjoyed a 4-0 win over Southern Miss to open play on Wednesday.
Speaking of one run, the last time there were three one-run games played on one day in the C-USA Championship was May 27, 2004, when three of the four games were decided by a single run. Friday marked the first time that all games on a day were decided by one run.
All odd-numbered seeds (1, 3, 5, 7) have been eliminated from tournament play, while the even-numbered seeds all remain (2,4,6,8).
