Update on Schlitterbahn Waterpark to be built around Lockhart Stadium

"Schlitterbahns are so much more than some rinky-dink water park; they are the standard that water parks around the country aspire to be. The new Fort Lauderdale park is expected to mirror other locations (four in Texas, one in Kansas City) and include water slides, wave pools, and treehouse-style hotel rooms.



If all goes as planned, Cerrone anticipates a 2018 grand opening."

As you may remember, the plan is actually to keep Lockhart stadium intact and have a lazy river go around it.

This is a great addition to Broward County and the crappy area off Commercial.  I've been to the park in Texas, its awesome.  With year round sun in South Florida, this is a no-brainer.


Teambeer is the most knowledgeable FAU sports fan I know, way smarter than me.

Indeed, a good addition.  We need another large water park in South Florida imo.
