Worst Individual Play From An FAU Player

Which is the worst/most embarassing individual mistake by an FAU player?

99-yard FAU fumble returned for an FIU TD, 2014 Shula Bowl
FAU vs Texas: high snap has Rusty Smith scrambling to recover the ball and incurs a bad shoulder injury
Kickoff bounces off Rob Housler's helmet
Quez Johnson fumble in the red zone vs Wyoming last year
MTSU completes improbable Hail Mary to win the game

Which moment sticks out for you as the worst play in FAU football history? You know, the one where you said, "Did that really just happen?"

The Quez fumble didn't bother me. A running QB is going to fumble some times. The lack of D on the next play is what bothered me.

Honorable mention (not by a player): Pelini calling for the spike of the ball to stop the clock when it was 4th down!

How about Charlie not letting Wyoming score last year.
Maybe the worst coaching decision I have ever seen.

FAU v Wagner 2012 first game of the season…

Kickoff return, I can't remember the player, he was a freshman though, DB maybe, receives the ball 5 yards deep in the endzone, near the home sideline, thinks about running out, stops, then thinks about going again…tried to stop himself and instead ends up stumbling out of the endzone, and out of bounds at the 1 yard line. We start with the ball at the 1. Unreal.

There was no choice for "all the above".
All those made me squirm when I read them.

Since "play" can be for a specific time span, I am nominating the following:

Hankerson's late meltdown against Rice in 2013 (sack for TD, INT converted for TD)

Could not believe what happened to close that game out.

Simply ridiculous.

Rob Housler's dropped a wide open go-ahead TD in the endzone against UNT in my first FAU game

That was a worse coaching decision than passing the ball instead of running the ball to win the Super Bowl?

You are a little dramatic.

Yes worst, the super bowl play is was bad,but it's still 20/20 hindsight.
Charlie decided letting a team kick a 23 yard FG with 12 Sec was better then giving your team over a min to score.
I could not have screamed at a TV louder in my life.

Other: Kicker 2013 season. Although we finished 6-6, we could've easily gone 8-4 (or better)
