Florida Atlantic University Head Men's Basketball Coach Michael Curry has signed two players to National Letters of Intent as part of the Owls’ 2016 class.
Jailyn Ingram and Devorious Brown both attend Morgan County High School (Ga.) where they helped the Bulldogs to a Class AAA runner-up finish last season. They will be reunited with former teammate C. J. Turman, who led MCHS to the state title in 2014.
At six-foot-five, Ingram is expected to see time at several positions for the Owls. In addition to basketball, Ingram averaged nearly 20 yards a catch last season for the Bulldog football team and received several Division I offers in that sport as well.
“Jailyn can play anywhere on the court,” said Curry. “His size, speed and athleticism will make it difficult for opposing teams to match up with him.”
Brown is a six-foot four guard, who is primarily known for his defense. His aggressive style is also expected to help him blossom on the offensive end.
“Devourious is a top-notch defender who will improve our overall defense because he puts so much pressure on the ball.”
