FAU 58  Northeastern 60

FAU drops 2nd straight contest near the buzzer as a dunk by Northeastern hands the Owls a 60-58 loss in the Men Against Breast Cancer Challenge Tourney opener in Oxford, Ohio.

Marquan Botley regained form to lead FAU with 14 PTS, and was joined in double figures by Jeantal Cylla (10). The Owls outshot Huskies 45% to 36% overall.

Nick Rutherford pitched in 9 points and a team best 6 grabs for the Owls who next face Miami (OH) Sat. at 3:30 PM.

This was not impressive at all… we were tailing in the 2nd half against another NAIA team… I repeat: TRAILING AGAINST AN NAIA TEAM AT HOME IN THE SECOND HALF.

I hope they can get some momentum with an upset win tomorrow against UCF.
