Some former Owls who wore #4: Anthony Jackson, Carldayle Brantley, and Adarius Glanton.

Jackson was a Running Back from Delray Beach (Olympic Heights HS). Named PB Post's Offensive Player of the Year in HS. In 2001, the inaugural season, he played in every game mostly on special teams as a kick returner. Was the returner for the first kick return in school history, returning the kick 34 yards. In the playoff year of 2003, had 2 games over 100 yards rushing. Had 2 games with 2 TDs. had a kick return of 55 yards against Sienna. Was ranked #21 nationally in kick off returns per games.

Brantley was a DB from Miami (Miami Central HS). Played in 11 games in 2006, primarily on special teams. In 2007, played in 12 games and had 22 tackles on the season.

Glanton was a linebacker from Lakeland, FL (Lake Gibson HS). Four-star recruit out of HS. Played at Eastern Arizona Community College. Enrolled at FAU in 2012, and played in every game as a regular starter. Had 75 tackles on the season. In 2013, saw action in 12 games. Had 2 sacks and one forced fumble. received the Ramon Rickards award as the team's hardest hitter. Invited to play in the 2014 medal of Honor Bowl where he had 5 tackles. Currently on the Carolina Panthers roster.

Some former Owls who wore #3: Craig Roundtree, Greg Joseph, Lestar Jean, and Keith Reaser.

Rountree was a DB from Bradenton, FL (Southeast HS). one of the original Owls. Played in every game in the inaugural season of 2001. In 2003, earned a starting spot and played in every game and finished with 64 tackles.

Joseph was a DB from Miami (Dr. Krop HS). first team All-Dade in HS. Played in 11 games in 2005...played in every game in 2006. In 2007, had 10 tackles in the Shula Bowl, and 6 tackles in the new Orleans Bowl.

Jean was a WR from Miami (Miami Norland HS). All-county honors in HS. In 2007, played as a true freshman. Had his best game in the huge win over Minnesota, only his third collegiate game, when he had 4 catches for 83 yards and his first TD. had 4 catches in the New Orleans Bowl. In 2008, played in every game including the Motor City Bowl. Played for the Houston Texans for a few years.

Reaser was a DB from Miami (Miami Killian HS). First team All-Dade in HS. Played and started in every game in 2011 (61 tackles) and 2012 (45 tackles). In 2012, recovered a fumble against Western Kentucky and returned it for a score.

Some former Owls who wore #2: Daveon Barron, Dominick Walker, and DeAndre Richardson.

Barron was a RB from Ft. Pierce (Ft. Pierce Central HS). Began his college football career at Bethune-Cookman because we did not have football in 2000. Sat out in 2001 due to transfer rules. In 2002, played in 10 of 11 games. ran for 147 yards against Morris brown. ended the season as the team's co-non-scholarship MVP. In 2003, started every game. Threw one pass out of the backfield and it went for a 18 yard TD against FIU.

Walker was a RB from Lakeland, FL (Lakeland HS). Rushed for 4,000 yards in HS. After redshirting in 2003, he played in 6 games at RB and kick returner in 2004. In 2005, started 8 games before an injury sidelined him. Had 8 catches and 2 TDs catching passes out of the backfield.

Richardson was WR from Panama City, FL (Bay HS). First team all-county and all-district in HS. In 2010, played in 11 games with 3 starts. His first collegiate reception was at FAU's home game at Ford Field against Michigan State. In 2011, played in 12 games with 10 starts. Finished the season with 269 receiving yards, with his longest catch of 23 yards coming against Auburn.

Some former Owls who wore #1: Brittney Tellis, Avery Holley, and Lucky Whitehead.

Tellis was a WR from Miami (Miami Northwestern HS). named first team all-Dade in HS. Played every game in the inaugural season of 2001, mostly on special teams. Had 17 punt returns for 233 yards. Played in every game in 2002, and 2003. In the playoff year of 2003, had 29 receptions for 435 yards.

Holley was a WR from Pompano Beach (Ely HS). Was 6A Broward Male Athlete of the Year in HS. In 2006, played in every game as a true freshman, and also played on the FAU Basketball team under Rex Walters. Tore his ACL in 2007. In 2008, had 9 receptions and 10 punt returns. Returned one punt in the Motor City Bowl. In 2009, played in every game. Second leading WR on the team. Recorded a reception in every game but one.

Whitehead was a WR from Manassas, VA (Osbourn HS). First team all-conference in HS as WR and DB.  Played at Dean College before enrolling at FAU. In 2013, had his first TD reception against Middle Tenn. Had a 64 yard TD reception against NMSU. In 2014, was the starting slot receiver in the opener at Nebraska and had 5 catches for 40 yards including a 20 yard TD. Had a punt return of 73 yards and a score making it the first punt return for a score since 2001. Named first team C-USA. Named the team's offensive MVP. currently on the Dallas Cowboy's roster.
