Story

"Boca residents, get ready to get an inside look at world of art.

The city's first-ever Art Boca Raton will take place March 18 through March 21 at the International Pavilion of the Palm Beaches on the grounds of the Research Park at Florida Atlantic University. The event will feature about 50 exhibitors from places like Seoul, South Korea; Helsinki, Finland; Palm Beach and more.

Not only will visitors be able to see notable works from around the world, they will also be able sit in on lectures from notable professionals like Bob Colacello, special correspondent from Vanity Fair; Sébastien Laboureau, founder and CEO of MoonStar Fine Arts Advisors; and more.

There will also be free interactive lectures (with cost of admission) during which visitors can create their own pieces of art.

The event will be held in a new 65,000-square-foot space that features its own full-service restaurant, lecture hall and sculpture garden.

Tickets for one-day passes to Art Boca Raton are about $20, while multi-passes are about $25.

"You get a huge amount for a very small ticket price. We are inviting all the students and faculty at FAU for free because we really want them to come," event representative Dindy Yokel said. "We’re really about having people come, since it's the first year the festival is happening."
