Who: No. 2 Miami (20-4) at No. 17 FAU (18-4)

When: Wednesday, 3/30 @ 6:30 PM

FAU: RHP David McKay (2-2, 4.50 ERA, 20 IP, 15 H, 26 K, 7 BB)
UM: RHP Jesse Lepore (3-0, 2.93 ERA, 27.2 IP, 28 H, 21 K, 12 BB)

Notes

FAU swept UAB over the weekend to move back into first place in the Conference USA Standings, while Miami is coming off a three game weekend sweep over then #17 ranked Clemson.

The Hurricanes carry a 57-13 all-time lead in the head-to-head series against the Owls, including a 8-3 lead in games played in Boca Raton.

The Owls won last year’s matchup at FAU Baseball Stadium 5-3. Brandon Rhodes was instrumental in that victory, tossing six scoreless innings before being relieved. However, as the Friday night starter against Old Dominion, he will not be available.

David McKay will get the call for Florida Atlantic, and had a solid outing against then #1 Florida last week, allowing just three hits during his five innings of action.

Wednesday's contest is one of three between the two teams in 2016, with the final two both being played in Coral Gables.

Owls out front in Coral Gables. Dicks posts a SAC fly in the first, and Stephen Kerr sends a lead off homer over the wall in the third.

The Canes even matters in the bottom of the 4th, as a wild pitch becomes lost and a runner crosses the plate all the way from second base.

Alex House comes on for McKay, who did a fine job: 6IP, 4H, 2ER, 2BB 5K.

Still tied in Coral Gables.
