This was a great win against one of the premier baseball schools in the country. Will help at the end of the year. Good going guys.

if someone can find the highlights from the local stations from last night, that be great, because their websites do not have them.

One of my favorite things about this win is that Coach Mac was underwhelmed because he expected to win based upon how we played and "we're a good team."

Because too often, particularly in football and basketball, we lose and then laud the other team (the big boy program) with praise ("give them all the credit" blah blah blah) and the other coach almost never returns the favor, which is insulting. We can to into halftime tied up against a ranked team and then at the end their coach goes, "yeah, we have some things to fix here or there."

Who: No. 17 Florida Atlantic (30-12) at No. 3 Miami (33-8)

When: Wednesday, 5/4 @ 7:00 PM

FAU: RHP Daivd McKay (2-3, 3.20 ERA, 45.0 IP, 32 H, 48 K, 14 BB)
UM: RHP Jesse Lepore (5-0, 2.31 ERA, 46.2 IP, 36 H, 35 K, 21 BB)

Notes

This will be the final meeting for the two teams on the year. Originally scheduled for a three-game season series, FAU won the first and only matchup at Miami 4-3 on April 20 behind the efforts of David McKay as the opener was cancelled due to weather.

This one may not make it out of the gates as well, as thunderstorms are forecast for Coral Gables on all four major weather sites at chances greater than 50%.

The Owls will have two non-conference games remaining in the regular season after Wednesday's tilt, consisting of a series against Ohio State on May 10th, and 11th.

How bout that contract extension ! Way to go Pat Chun. A no brainer but still a great move. We have one of the best in the country right here. Coach Mac deserves every penny FAU gives him and more.
