Kentucky’s Napo Matsoso took a rebound off a corner kick just four minutes in and fired across the net to give the Wildcats (10-3-2) the early lead.
A foul in the 17th minute set up senior Jason Fitzgerald for a successful penalty kick for his team-leading third goal of the season as the Owls (4-8-1) tied the contest.
Matsoso struck again in the 59th minute again off a corner kick on a roller from the top of the box for the game-winner for Kentucky
FAU sits in seventh place in Conference USA with a two-point cushion and two games remaining. The top seven teams qualify for the C-USA Tournament in Huntington, W. Va.
FAU will finish up its regular season with road contest at Charlotte on Saturday, Oct. 29 and at Old Dominion on Tuesday, Nov. 1.
