Arrested:
Rodrick Demetrius Woods
DOB 09/08/1992
Miami Gardens, FL
The investigation into the telephone records of Donavan Henry revealed multiple phone numbers from the day of the murder. One of the numbers was registered to a Rodrick Woods. Woods' physical description matches a suspect who was captured on video surveillance, following Henry into the University Park Apartment shortly before the shooting. Woods was also seen running from the apartment complex after the shooting. Video footage shows a distinctive tattoo on Woods’ arm.
Woods' phone records place him in the area of University Park Apartments at the time of the murder. A cooperating witness identified Woods from surveillance video.Posted On: Jan 12th 2016, 9:03 AM #353689

There was a makeshift memorial outside of UPark after it happened. They had someone there checking everybody who came in to see what their business was in the complex. I've driven by but haven't been back there recently to see if they're still doing it.

Saw it in the Post, the last guy wasn't caught
But, Fernandes said, one of the others charged with Acosta’s death disgrees. Rodrick Woods, 22, in June pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. To get prosecutors to let him plead guilty to the lessser charge that carries a minimum 25-year sentence, Woods agreed to testify against Henry, Alexander Gillis and Adonis Gillis, who are also charged with first-degree murder in connection with Acosta’s death. The fifth man hasn’t been caught.
