FAU 9 Bethune-Cookman 6
With the game tied at 4-4 after Bethune-Cookman (19-11) scored in their half of the eighth, the Owls (19-8-1) stormed right back. Jordan Poore led off the inning with a single, and a sacrifice bunt attempt by Pedro Pages pulled the first baseman off the bag to allow him to reach on an error.
Eric Rivera laid down a beautiful bunt with two strikes to load the bases, and the next three runs scored without benefit of a hit: two bases-loaded walks (to Tyler Frank and Jared Shouppe), and a Wildcat balk.
One batter later, Stephen Kerr laced a liner into left to score two and give FAU a 9-4 lead.
Tyler Frank reached base three times, scored twice and drove in two runs, while Austin Langham had two hits and two RBI.
The Wildcats threatened din the top of the ninth scoring two runs, but the Owls went to closer Cameron Ragsdale Ragsdale who sat down Josten Heron on three consecutive pitches to wrap the win.
“Tuesday night after an emotional series and with Monday being our day off, I didn’t think we were ready to play,” said Head Coach John McCormack.
“The game was loaded with mistakes and we’re just going to have to put it behind us, have a good practice and get ready to go to Charlotte … The only saving grace was that we won.”
The Owls will next travel to Charlotte for a three game series against the 49ers. First pitch is Friday at 6:00 PM.

The Owls will host FGCU this upcoming Tuesday, April 25, at 6:30 p.m., and will also match up against UCF on Tuesday, May 16 at the new, state-of-the-art complex located at 5444 Haverhill Road in West Palm. The 6,500-seat stadium and surrounding facilities opened in late February and serves as the Spring Training home of the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals.
“For our guys to have this experience is fantastic,” said Head Coach John McCormack. “It’s great for our brand and for our fans in the northern part of the county to come out and see us. It’ll also be a real treat for some of the Boca people to drive up there and get a chance to watch baseball in an absolutely beautiful facility. We’re looking forward to it, and I hope our great fans take the opportunity to go up and watch us play.”

Florida Atlantic finds the Ball Park of the Palm Beaches a favorable environment and avenges a prior 7-5 loss to the Eagles with a mammoth offensive performance to even the two game season series.
The contest featured a whopping 15 pitchers with the Owls' staff shining bright across the ranks while combining for 10 strikeouts.
FAU pounded out 15 hits on the night, and had a solid defensive showing with no errors.
FIU will next visit FAU Baseball stadium for three critical games beginning this Friday.
