The 2017 C-USA Baseball Championship will be held at MGM Park in Biloxi, MS May 24-28 and will feature the top eight teams in regular-season league play.
The format is two double-elimination brackets with four teams each, with the winners of each bracket meeting in a single-elimination championship game.
Florida Atlantic will be the No. 3 seed in the tournament. The Owls closed out the regular season with three wins over nationally-ranked opponents in the final week and currently have an RPI of 55.
FAU won two-of-three games at first round opponent Rice earlier in the season. The two teams met last season in tournament play with Rice coming away with a 6-4 win in 10 innings.
