Buried in this Sun Sentinel article are two mentions of FAU GPA on the rise once again:

"The average GPA for incoming students in 2016 was a 4.1, up from 3.51 in 2013."

(FIU's was the same 4.1 for 2016)

and

"FAU’s minimum GPA for entry is now 3.6, up from 3.3 a few years ago."

A very interesting point as well, and I think a first for us:

"Kelly said he even personally made calls to 1,000 of the nation's top performing high school students to invite them to FAU. He said 390 of those will be attending this fall."

Some other 2016 info from FAU's IEA site:
- Enrollment was 30,598. 25611 of those were in Boca. 4069 lived on campus in Boca.
- 15901 of the 32084 that applied were first-time-in-college students and 55% were admitted, of which approximately 40% of those admitted actually enrolled.
- The top three undergraduate majors were business, biology and psychology. The top three graduate majors were business, accounting and nursing.
