We've never beaten Marshall?

Another record to be broken this year.

Let's start a "roll call" for this game.  I know it is a Friday night kick, but this can be really big and could lead to a (shocking) SHOWDOWN game against FIU in a couple of weeks.  I will be at the game with 4, plus my daughter will be in the endzone with the students.  If we can't get the most enthusiastic fans about the program (the people on this board) into the stands, something is wrong.

So who else will be there Friday (and with how many)?  The team deserves 20k people watching them at every home game, so also guess on announced attendance versus actual butts in seats when you post you will be there.  I am guessing (sadly) around 16k announced, and about 12k actually in the stands.

We beat Marshall last year, didn't we?

Sadly this will be the only home game I wont be able to attend this season. I'll be rooting all the way from San Diego.

Go Owls !!!

I'm predicting Marshall's attendance will not be as good as the Shula Bowl.

People outside this forum do not generally understand or care about the implications of certain games like this, the North Texas game, etc.

On the upside… for as much as people want to talk about the Shula Bowl being a "manufactured rivalry" we do tend to get a better turnout there .

I agree with you on the attendance and understanding the importance of games.  Hopefully at some point - it's still on all of us to help sell these games and help build out that fan base.
