That make it TEN (10) CUSA teams bowl eligible - the most of ANY conference! NOT a down year for CUSA football as has been implicated to minimize OUR success. Just that WKU dame back down to the pack DOES NOT minimize oR take away TEN BOWL ELIGIBLE TEAMS

After rushing for 170 yards and two touchdowns in his first career start, Middle Tennessee sophomore RB Terrelle West has been named Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week.

The Defensive Player of the Week goes to Louisiana Tech senior LB Russell Farris, who had 13 tackles and two TFL’s in a win over UTSA that made the Bulldogs bowl-eligible.

Special Teams honors were given to North Texas freshman PR Jaelon Darden, who had an 81-yard punt return for a touchdown in the second quarter of last week’s win at Rice.

C-USA Football Players of the Week are voted on by a panel of the league’s media.

I hope that UNT kid got his big return out of his system - punt returns, KO returns, pick-6's, etc. are the kinds of things that turn games around in a hurry.

I'm sure this could be a conversation for a different day, but this year's success should put us in a position to get a better TV contract. IJS.

Need 78 teams to fill all Bowl slots and already 79 bowl eligible with possibly 3 more "if" all win this weekend.

Bottom line is NO 5-7 teams needed this year (YEA!!!!). But also some 6-6 team(s) will be left out, a minimum of one. CUSA does have 4 four 6-6 teams and one 6-5 team so VERY possible some CUSA team(s) will be left out this year! Ya know NO Power5 6-6 team will EVER BE!!!!!!

Maybe one of the "better" Power 5 6-6 teams will have the balls to tell players and fans THAT 6-6 is NOT acceptable to them as ND did a few years back!

You are right probably not but I just remembered Missou also declined a bowl at 5-7 even though they were qualified by the academic issue used to chooses 5-7 teams. School and Coaches there said Nope, no bowl!
