How do the payouts work in our conference? Do we all share in a pot or do we just get what our bowl is?

I think in the bigger conferences they just split it all up. So it is better for the entire ACC, for example, to have a team in the playoff AND a team in the Orange Bowl.

I can't find the article that somebody had linked, but I ***think*** I saw that the bowl team gets the first $100k, then after expenses are paid out whatever is left is split evenly across the other conference members.  C-USA claims this is why they send teams where they send them - trying to maximize how many seats they can fill in the venues I assume cuts down on some of the expenses the school's have covering ticket allotments.
