The Owls landed their second commitment in as many days in Immokalee defensive back Charles Toombs.

Toombs (5-11, 165 bs) who made the Naples Daily News 2018 preseason Big 15, had 39 tackles and two interceptions. He also rushed for 319 yards and three scores and returned a kickoff for a touchdown. He was selected to the Florida Athletic Coaches Association All-District team.

The three-Star defensive back chose FAU over reported offers from Kentucky, Iowa State, North Carolina State, and Temple.

Toombs becomes the 5th commit of the 2020 Cycle for FAU, joining Quarterback Anthony Romph, Running Back Frank Gore Jr., offensive linemen Andre Lamas, and wide receiver Justin McKithen.
