  • Harrison Bryant Dominates Tight end Harison Bryant (photo above) put on a show for Owl fans today making catches all over the field which included a touchdown of 34 and 11 yards.  Bryant also excelled in getting open when the pocket broke down; on two occasions Robison was able to find Bryant running from pressure to keep the chains moving.

  • Kicker Consistency Vladimir Rivas hit 52-yard, 47-yard, and 38-yard field goals today and all four extra points. Rivas told the media last week he is in a much better place mentally after last year's struggles.

  • Tronti Struggles After not turning over the ball over in three straight practices, QB Nick Tronti threw an interception had another one dropped and took numerous sacks. Despite Chris Robison being safer with the football and throwing two touchdowns in the scrimmage, Lane Kiffin said, "We do not have enough to make a decision'' when asked about who would start in two weeks vs Ohio State.

  • Play of The Day Freshmen Quarterback Javion Posey had chance to work with the third-team unit and gave Owl fans a glimpse of what they could expect in the future; hitting wide receiver Ronald Patterson on a perfectly thrown over the shoulder 36-yard touch down pass.

  • Second Team Oline Struggles The interior of the second online which consisted mostly of Donald Humphry, Jarod Nourse, Federico Maranges struggled to handle the veteran second-team defensive line. With little experience backing up the starting guards and center, the Owls can not afford any injuries to those positions.

  • Ray Ellis' Strong Comeback Continues Ray Ellis told the media after the scrimmage "I'm is seeing things a little faster every day.'' This has clearly been evident by his play on the field in which he recorded two sacks and was part in stuffing many run plays.

  • Larry McCammon Sees Increased Roll The true Freshmen running back might have already switch numbers going from 33 to high school number 3, but his strong camp continued today with another strong scrimmage. Larry McCammon saw even more carries with the first-team offensive consistently picking up positive yardage. It would not be a shock to see him to be a part of the running back rotation come week one vs Ohio State.

  • Return of Cordel Littlejohn The tedshirt freshman quarterback rejoined the team today after missing the first three weeks of camp after what Kiffin said was "a numbers issue'' with how many players a team could carry early in camp compared to once school started. Littlejohn could not participate in the scrimmage due to the NCAA "Acclamation rule'', where players must have a certain amount of day at practice without pads to participate.

  • Scrimmage Cut Short Just over an hour into the scrimmage, the all to the familiar sight of dark clouds rolling in on summer afternoon forced FAU to send the players in and start the autograph session early. Kiffin said "We only got about half the reps we hoped to get which is disappointing"
