We'll be reporting all of the action here, so stay tuned to this thread as we welcome the FAU's 1st Class under new Head Coach Willie Taggart!
I know several people have highlighted Taggart’s comments about recruiting FL, so it will be interesting to see how this class ends up and how it compares with future ones. The last few years have seen a pipeline to places like AL that I assume didn’t exist before Kiffin. FL and GA are always going to be high in numbers because the number of quality players, but landing some “missed” 3-star and above type talent regardless of where they came from is the key for G5 teams.

I know this is primarily Lane’s last class (or at least his blueprint), but that is 4 of 8 players not from FL (and 2 of the 4 Floridians via the JuCo route). With 3 from GA, and 1 from AL.

I think it is a balance.
South Florida is loaded with talent, but there are no hidden players and they all have tons of offers.
A school like Deerfield beach has had about 15 players chose out of state schools.
Do not reach for kids just because they are from down here.

Taggart was able to get Dolcine after he verbally committed to Mississippi State from the JUCO ranks. UCF was also going after the former 4 Star, hard.
Another recent verbal commit is now officially in! Highly sought-after OL Sebastien Dolcine from Copiah-Lincoln CC is an Owl!
