Wow. Charlotte has dominated the final seven minutes of this half. Unreal.

Karlis Silins hits a put-back tip-in to pull FAU within 2.

Owls down 68-66 with 14 seconds left after leading for over 38 minutes of the game.

Ridiculous.  We seem to be figuring out ways to lose.

I don’t want to hear we were +5 on the road so it was a good loss.   We were leading and usually by 10+ until inside 30 seconds.

We need to learn to play a complete game.

GO OWLS!

Final stats from tonight's loss.

Charlotte shot 55% in the second half. That, paired with the 'Niners finally showing off their defensive prowess in the final ten minutes of the second half, spelled doom for FAU.

I actually had us at +3.4 points, but didn't want to rain on the parade so didn't post the prediction…

Regardless, we were supposed to lose, and did.

COMPLETELY agree though, that it is very disheartening and old when you lead for the vast portion of the contest.

And this is becoming a pattern.

Have to start saving some super wrinkles for the latter portions of the game.

Go Owls!

The one ,two, and three point losses are the difference of a good season and bad. In the end, no one will care about the point difference.

CUSA is like the 18th ranked conference - meaning it is not very good.  FAU is improved, but has shown a pattern of early leads (often double-digits) only to give up huge second half runs to teams that really aren’t very good, either.  When I look at the 12 wins, I am only finding 1 or 2 that are over teams even with winning records (forget marquee or even really good wins).

It is very cool that excitement is returning to the program, but we are still a long way from being a good basketball team in my opinion.  Better - no doubt.
