Big 12 expansion rumor article

A recent Palm Beach Post (surprised?) article by Dave George instead pointed out that "Conference USA is where FAU fits best and where it probably should stay until the championships start rolling in" also dinging us for not filling up our stadium to the brim consistently. His argument is that nobody knows what FAU football really is at this point, since it's new and all over the map, so it's hard to know whether it would ever be a good add to the American.
Wish the Sun Sentinel or even Underdog Dynasty would run a counter-point to it. We could use the support.

It's interesting to see every time these "possible expansion" rumors come out the local media tries to go to bat for their team to jump, like the USM folk did. And of course when you can't sell one thing, they sell another. Unfortunately we don't really have anybody going to bat for us anymore.

The powers to be could care less about some sporter writer/columnist opinion on who should and who shouldn't be in their conference. These stories are easy stories to generate conversation, arguments and "clicks" on webpages. Look at the activity on here from a USM beat writer!

Even if it is only the new ACC (basically old CUSA) it will still be WAY better than the newly watered down and weakened CUSA (old Sun Belt to me).
WE CANNOT AFFORD TO SIT STILL!

Per ESPN's "Where do things stand in Big 12 expansion?" article HERE:
"Two weeks ago in the Dallas area, the Big 12 held meetings with the 11 candidates that made the conference's first round of cuts, multiple sources confirmed to ESPN.com. Those meetings began with SMU on Tuesday and ended with South Florida on Friday evening; Air Force, BYU, Central Florida, Cincinnati, Colorado State, Connecticut, Houston, Rice and Tulane had their turns in between."
Unfortunately, "nobody agrees on the teams right now" to be chosen from those candidates.
