After rushing for 195 yards and a Conference USA-record six touchdowns vs. North Texas last Saturday, Louisiana Tech senior RB Kenneth Dixon has been named the league’s Offensive Player of the Week.

The defensive honor went to FIU senior DT Mike Wakefield, who had four sacks and 5.5 tackles for loss in the Panthers’ win over Charlotte.

Special Teams recognition went to Middle Tennessee junior DB Jeremy Cutrer, who blocked a field goal attempt in the third overtime to give the Blue Raiders a win over Marshall.

C-USA Football Players of the Week are voted on by a panel of the league’s media.
