Old Dominion 38 East Carolina 52
A strong 4th quarter kept an embarrassing loss at bay for the Pirates, who will face the Owls next Thursday. They managed only 1.6 yards per carry against an upstart Monarch squad, but did exploit gains through the air.
Miami (Ohio) 14 Marshall 52
After being knotted up 14 all at the break, the RedHawks couldn't find the end zone in the 2nd half. But Marshall sure did - to the tune of 38 unanswered points.
Idaho 6 North Texas 40
The Mean Green romp for 404 yards passing in the lopsided affair.
Texas State 22 Southern Miss 15
The now Sun Belt member Bobcats cash in on a whopping six Eagles turnovers (4 FUM, 2 INT), and hold the Eagles to to just 23 net yards rushing on 24 attempts.
USTA 21 New Mexico 13
Former UM head man Larry Coker reinforced the notion that old coaches can still muster some mojo by leading his squad to a quality road win despite the fact that they just started practicing in 2010.

A pair of performers that set multiple school records highlight this week's Conference USA Football Players of the Week. East Carolina junior QB Shane Carden has been named the Offensive Player of the Week after setting new ECU records for completions and yards, while being one of five FBS quarterbacks to throw five touchdowns during opening weekend.
The Defensive Player of the Week honor went to North Texas senior LB Zach Orr, who had double-digit tackles and a hand in multiple forced turnovers as the Mean Green held Idaho to six points. The Special Teams Player of the Week award went to UAB junior KR Jamarcus Nelson, who had the most all-purpose yards in the FBS with 367. C-USA Football Players of the Week are voted on by a panel of the league's media.
