Tulsa 24 East Carolina 58
Likely C-USA offensive player of the year Shane Carden (34-50, 384 yards) threw for five touchdowns and also ran for a pair as the Pirates squashed the Golden Hurricane. His performance set a new program record for most scores in a contest by a quarterback.
ECU WR Isaiah Jones hauled in two of Carden's scoring tosses to lead all receivers with 104 yards off eight catches.
Tulsa notched the game's initial points early for a 7-0 lead, and remained in the contest after a FG pulled them to within four points with 6:54 left in the first half, but 28 unanswered points thereafter by East Carolina set the stage for defeat.
The Golden Hurricane committed four turnovers.

Southern Miss 13 LA Tech 36
The Bulldogs complete a 6-0 showing by home teams on Saturday.
Down just a 10 spot at the break, the Golden Eagles had upset on their minds.
However, with no running game to speak of (59 yards), four INT's would cause problems.
Sophomore RB Kenneth Dixon posted the 3rd 200+ yard effort of his young career for La Tech.

The Defensive award went to Louisiana Tech sophomore DB Adairius Barnes, who had two interceptions in the Bulldogs win against Southern Miss. The Special Teams Player of the Week award was given to UTSA junior K Sean Ianno, who had the game-winning field goal in the Roadrunners victory over Tulane. C-USA Football Players of the Week are voted on by a panel of the league's media.
