The Thundering Herd did not face the Owls during the regular season, so the host site for the game will be determined by the BCS rankings that are expected to be released late Sunday evening.
The 2013 C-USA Championship Game will be televised live on ESPN 2, beginning at 12:00 PM EST.
Marshall earned its spot in the championship game with a 59-28 victory over East Carolina in a winner-take-all game at home on Friday to take the East Division Championship.
Rice punched its ticket with a 17-13 victory over Tulane Saturday afternoon in Houston to win the West Division title.

I agree, we GAVE the game to Rice late and yes ECU is good but do you realize how well we played them on D though. They were FAR BELOW BOTH their scoring AND yards gained averages in the game, only our 2nd game of the year. In fact (I just checked and am adding this note, the ONLY opposing D who held ECU to fewer both total yards and passing yards gained was Va. Tech!) Oh, and both of those losses away.teambeer said
How the hell did Rice win that many games this year? If Quez had played I think we beat em by 20, they did not look that strong. ECU on the other hand, looked unstoppable when we played emPosted On: Dec 1st 2013, 5:36 AM #322871
So we lost by 1 on a last second FG to Marshall and by 4 at Rice when our true freshman qb kinda blew up. 5 points COMBINED to the two CUSA Division winners whom both went 7-1 in conference play and we totally outplayed both of em by even their own press accounts both on the field and Coaching too (credit to the co-ords IMHO).
Soft late schedule my but, we were getting pretty good before then and then DOMINATED at the end of the season. Way to go to all Owls players and coaches!

Beleive it or not Martin Wright with his 4 1/2 sacks DID NOT get CUSA D Player of the Week Award! Wow. I realize the winner had 2 picks but surely he deserved Co-POW at least. Again, Wow!Posted On: Dec 2nd 2013, 8:37 PM #322993

After tying a school record with five touchdown passes and running for another in a 62-27 victory at UAB, Southern Miss freshman QB Nick Mullens shares C-USA Offensive Player of the Week honors with North Texas senior RB Brandin Byrd, who ran for a C-USA season-high 251 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-10 win at Tulsa.
The Defensive award went to Marshall freshman DL Gary Thompson, who had two interceptions, including one that he returned for a touchdown in a division-clinching victory over East Carolina.
The Special Teams Player of the Week award was given to North Texas junior Mike Marshall, who became the first player in school history to block two kicks in a single game in the Mean Green's victory over Tulsa.
