We'll get to see if UTSA's win over Houston in Week One was a fluke soon enough. Nebraska wasn't the only one in the 780's on Saturday…

Arizona  put up 787 yards against UNLV.

That whole game was based on turnovers they had 4 interceptions and 2 fumbles ….. turnovers lose you games so in my option…

yes USTA is good, but best…. I don't think so

Not the best, second best. Hence the #1 contenders after Marshall.

Not really getting the info from anywhere, just my own opinion. When it comes to predictions, third in the West is the lowest they've been predicted to finish. Respected media outlets such as CBS has UTSA finishing as high as first in the West. Last season, UTSA beat a very strong North Texas team in Denton, forcing Rice to beat Tulane in order to avoid a three-way tie atop the West division made up of Rice, UNT, and UTSA. UTSA retains 21 out of 22 starters, an FBS best, from last year's campaign. Some could say that they've lost little players because they are a newer program, therefore do not play tough enough opponents to gain enough real experience that older programs can get. This is not true as UTSA played Oklahoma State and Arizona in 2013 (and will play them again this year), while playing a full CUSA slate, including trips to Huntington, El Paso, Tulsa, and Denton. Finally, I have four TV's in my living room (Thank you Matt Kordas) so I'm able to watch every CUSA game that's on TV. UTSA passed the eye test in a very hostile environment as they opened Houston's new stadium with a beat down against a very efficient Houston Cougars team expected to be in the fight for the AAC title. I have them as the #1 contenders to take down Marshall because Marshall is nearly unbeatable at home (hold the FBS record for home winning percentage at 118-19. FWIW second place is Alabama) where they're lucky enough to host the contenders in the East (Middle, FAU, and WKU) while they're only CUSA road games are at Old Dominion, UAB, Southern Miss, and FIU. Excluding ODU, who played mostly FCS teams last year, the combined 2013 record of those three opponents is 4-22. So knowing that Marshall is a COMPLETELY different animal at home then they are at home and that they're away opponents are currently CUSA doormats, the #1 contender to knock off the Herd will most likely come out of the West, and I fully expect UTSA to be that team.

But who knows, North Texas has some great coaching of their own and Rice has proven to be one of the conference's best as of late. Anything can happen.  Don't be surprised if UTEP tries to make a push out there either.
