San Antonio city leaders backing UTSA's Thursday home opener against Arizona - San Antonio Business Journal
My friend Jack knows what he's talking about regardless of how many starters they have returning. I would love to play in front of 40,000 fans if I was a 3 star or 4 star recruit in Texas.
P.s. Jack I'll see you at the tailgate on the 13th, I'll be the guy in the Morris Jersey with blue paint on the sleeve. Probably wheeling a cooler around.

But heck, I'm just happy to be in a conference of like-minded institutions. UTEP, UTSA, UNT, ODU, MTSU, UAB, WKU, Charlotte, and yes even FIU are all very similar to FAU in almost every asset. Throw in a FANTASTIC academic institution such as Rice and smaller universities with solid followings and great athletic history like Marshall, LaTech and Southern Miss, and we have quite the conference to be proud of!

UTSA is 4 real, they have a great coach in Larry Coker. Yeah, he had great players from the year before when he won in Miami. But a system is a system and he is proving it at UTSA. Also they have the CITY BEHIND THEM FOR SUPPORT check out this article; 40000 fans!! Thankfully we get 'em in Boca. We can't even hold that many. San Antonio is a bigger city but Boca has deeper pockets.

Arizona 26 UTSA 23
The Roadrunners had a chance, and were driving with 2:04 to play. But an ill advised shovel pass was picked away by the Wildcat's Jared Tevis, who also boasted 18 tackles on the night.

SMU 6 North Texas 43
The Mean Green cache in on five Mustang turnovers, while holding them to just 1-of-11 third down conversions.
Eric Evans only had one carry for UNT, but he made the post of it, going 54 yards for a score.

WKU 34 Illinois 42
It looked as if the Hilltoppers might be setting themselves up for an upset as the third quarter came to a close.
But the Illini had a big final period, scoring three TD to just one for WKU.
QB Brandon Doughty was 28-of-48 for 297 yards, and 2TD.
