UAB 17 LSU 56
The Tigers make easy work of what is arguably a much improved Blazer unit.
The air attack was on for LSU to the tune of 293 yards, while finding the end zone five times therein. Odell Beckham hauled in three of the scores for a game high 136 yards on just five receptions.
UAB was only outdone 445-296 in overall yardage, and held the ball seven minutes longer.

New Mexico 42 UTEP 35 OT
A back-and-forth battle came down to the spot in overtime.
Unfortunately for the Miners, while facing a fourth and one situation in the extra frame at the Lobos' four yard line, that spot came up just short.
Neither team did much in the passing game, which was good for just 207 combined yards and no scores.
However, UNM pounded out 395 yards and six TD's by foot.

Golden Hurricane senior RB Trey Watts has been named the Offensive Player of the Week after rushing for 152 yards and posting 247 all-purpose yards in a win over Colorado State. The Defensive Player of the Week honor went to TU sophomore S Michael Mudoh, who had eight tackles and an interception in the victory.
The Special Teams Player of the Week award went to Golden Hurricane junior K Carl Salazar, who booted the game-winning field goal. East Carolina was the last C-USA school to win all three awards in a week, earning the honors Sept. 15, 2008. C-USA Football Players of the Week are voted on by a panel of the league's media.
