If you guys get a chance to read that FIU Ex Coach tell all thread on their board, it's pretty interesting. That person claims Cristobal had already lost control of that team and didn't really know what he was doing, he was a great recruiter but as for running a program, he was terrible, the team was divided and no one respected him.

That and I guess Garcia didn't appreciate MC disapproving of his womanizing  :Big-Grin:

I don't know if they confirmed who it was but an interesting take nonetheless.

The kindle book is for sale on Amazon. $2.99 I think. I bought it. It's a quick read, a couple of hours. Insubordination was a big problem. Cristobal didn't seem to have control of players and coaches. I thinks it's worth the 3 bucks to get into the belly of the FIU football program and athletic dept.

I also want to add that the author stated that Cristobal had to compromise on class room performance for good athletes. I might say that attitude and discipline was also overlooked. I personally think he had good athletes but they didn't have the character that you would want on a team sport. That is probably where the problems began.

From what I read about Howard, he never compromised on attitude and character and this is also probably why the program has been clean, except for a few bad apples. This is also probably one of the reasons FIU got ahead of us. They compromised on character and attitude to get wins. Another reason was our lack of a stadium.
