Kedrick Rhodes arrested

Amidst the other stuff I've been covering/writing about the last few days, I've been working on a post going through the football season game-by-game and finding pieces of optimism in each game.

Then, I got my new phone after the old one drowned in Saturday evening's monsoon to a text about starting running back Kedrick Rhodes being arrested Sunday.

Rhodes was charged with discharging a weapon on school property, a second-degree felony, and three misdemeanor

Like your RB?

I don't normally agree with comments like that when it relates to student athletes but when you fire a gun on campus you deserve what's coming.  This was not some kid who didn't want to go to class. 

I'm not defending his actions. But laughing and sarcastically saying "good for him" is far from what a rational adult would normally go to in this situation - in my opinion. I didn't think asking you all to conduct yourselves with an ounce of class was too much to ask.

Take it easy on Pike, he's one of the good ones down there. While I wouldn't call OC40's post the "classiest" post, I remember worse said by some of the FIU faithful that was said about our CB that stole copper wire a couple years ago.
That being said, this was a foolish move on his part. He was set to be one of the best RB in CUSA. This is a big time blow for FIU.

Icing on the cake is that in the newly released CUSA Football media guide this guy is on the 1st page as thier marquee player.
