Re: FIU RB arrested...
I remember worse said by some of the FIU faithful that was said about our CB that stole copper wire a couple years ago.
+1
Its funny though, those FIU faithful seemed to think the whole team was in on the heist. At least that's what their classless comments were about.

He still may be the starter. Remember, FIU is in Miami and historically schools in Miami tend to turn the other cheek if it wins football games. Kind of like Urban Meyer and U.F.
He was dismissed from the team so they are not exactly like Miami.
I believe he was the starter and one of if not the maquee player, big hit from the kitties.

I feel terrible for the kid. Made a terrible decision and now his whole life has changed. Kicked off the team. Likely taken off scholarship. Done. Going into his Senior season no less. Poor guy. But hey, you gotta live with the consequences of your actions. I tweeted out something along these lines: "Stupid to have a gun on campus. Even dumber to take it out with you when you're doing to get drunk. Borderline retarded to fire it off when you're hammered."
Oh well, when times are tough for my 10 year old program, I like to remind myself that we're still better than North Texas, and they've had football for 100 years. 8) :D

Starting RB. Has been for the last two seasons. A stud. And, apparently, an idiot.

How much of the offense was going to revolve around this guy, any idea?
I know you guys were moving back to the pro-set.

Even if you're a pass happy offense, you want a talented RB. He was supposed to be that guy for us. Next man up, I suppose.
For what it's worth, our starting RB got knocked out of the running once and a guy named Alfred Morris stepped up to replace him… so you never know!
