"Division II Florida Atlantic"

Time to write yet another author… do any sports writers even do basic research, or are their entire articles assumptions?

Yolanda Griffith might have had an amazing Division I career at Iowa, but that didn't happen. She sat out a year for academics, had a daughter and then went to junior college in Florida. She finished her collegiate career at Division II Florida Atlantic.

Didn't FAU compete at the DII level at one time? When did the womens go up to DI? It may have been DII when Griffith was playing.

Griffith played in 1992. So the news article is accurate. Although it would have been better to have worded that sentence:

"She finished her collegiate career at Florida Atlantic which was DII at that time."
