If I could write a major check to FAU the baseball team would get it first.

NOO…you would write it to football to buy out the existing coaches contract to fire him.  Lets be honest.

I think someone would walk in to Chun's office with a $10M check for the baseball stadium and walk out having made a donation for a new academic center instead  :Big-Grin:

The Florida Atlantic University baseball team will showcase its talent on Fox Sports national television as it plays at Rice at Reckling Park in Houston, Texas on Saturday, March 22 at 2 p.m. The Conference USA matchup has been selected by Fox Sports as one of four regular-season league games to be televised in 2014.

Rice and FAU were picked to finish first and second in the Conference USA race, respectively, as voted on by league coaches.

The two squads have met only once before, on Feb. 23, 2007 in Houston. It was then that Rice’s Joe Savery hit a two-run walkoff home run to win the contest 4-2.

FAU falls to FCGU 3-2 at home tonight. After pulling to within one in the 9th, they had the tying run on third in CJ Chatham with two outs, but a pop-up ended the contest.

The Owls got no offense from players in the 4-9 spots, while Stephen Kerr and Ricky Santiago each had a pair of hits.

Florida Atlantic took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning off Rocklein's SAC fly, but the Eagles answered with solo scores in the 2nd, 4th, and 9th innings to win it.

How strange that we can, in this strange year, consistantly beat nationally ranked Florida schools (UM, UF, UCF), yet struggle so much in CUSA play. Congrats on the win tonight though guys, finish strong!
