Baseball: Walk Off Homerun Pushes UNO Past FAU 8-7
Church goes 2-for-4 and extends hitting streak to eight games
Florida Atlantic erased a one-run deficit in the ninth inning but eventually fell to New Orleans 8-7 on Sunday afternoon. The victory was the first home conference win for UNO.
FAU got off to a good start scoring the first four runs of the game to take a 4-0 lead. The rally was capped off by a three-run third inning that saw Raymond Church hit his fourth home run of the season. Church has now hit safely in eight straight games and has walked a league-high 29 times. The second baseman went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, and one walk in Sunday’s affair.
