I hear McBride can bring it. Something I like to see in a closer.

The Bluewave practiced last night "under the lights" in preparation for the season opener next Fri. night. Got a glimpse of a possible lineup:

Lipman/DiLiberto-dh
Shapland-lf
Hafer-1b
Widlansky-3b
Fonseca-ss
Silversmith-c

KC and his coaching crew have to feel confident about the backups for each position as well.
The keys to a successful season as I see it:

1. Eliminate base running mistakes. Altough I like, and we will need, the aggressive style of play which "makes things happen", it needs to be balanced with common sense.
2. Let middle relievers know it's OK to throw strikes. Too often last year games that we had in hand were lost due to the haunting walk that turned into a run.
3. Adopt a "LET NO MAN BE LEFT ON BASE"

mentality. Run production is going to be key, especially from the middle of the lineup i.e., Lipman, Shapland & Hafer.

That's the way I see it…….for now anyway
