Only two bad things resulting from last nights 6th W of the season: 1. Our runs scored per game drops below 10; and 2. Attendance avg. is below 500 per game.

Puzzling isn't about the attendance, for a Nationally Rank team and a team that has had success for many years. It would be nice to see a larger crowd and possibly TV coverange. Why so little interest and support, some how we must tap into the Alumni's new and old.

IMO the attendance issue is really not to much of a mystery.

The area is not supportive of it's college sports teams. It's like this is new to them and now they can't break away from older traditions like rooting for the Miami and Orlando area teams.
The Canes seem to have the college fans in most sports in the area.

A city like West Palm is in the backyard and you wonder what's their excuse for not attending. All the surrounding areas must have some interest in baseball and college sports in general right?

Look at the other two sports. Basketball and Football. The following just isn't there.

But then the Soccer Fusion always looked full from old photos ???

I don't have the answer.

Its just the beginning of the season, the attendance numbers will grow as the season lengthens. College baseball is not well accepted nationally though (they only show the CWS on tv, besides local). I don't know about our school's budget, but I think they could advertise way more. Also, look for attendance to boost once spring training starts and everyone is talking baseball.

I haven seem them do much as far as advertising,
I think thing will change with the New AD. Before we
had an Interm President & AD where nothing really happen during that time, even advertising for football
was non-existant during that time. We'll see what happens, until March Madness & the Final Four is over
with, attendance will probably continue to suffer.

It's kind of early in the season, but If we continue to
win like we are, we'll make some ground in the ranking
as the season moves along.
