Fiorentino picked up by Reds
The Reds claimed outfielder Jeff Fiorentino off waivers from the Orioles on Friday. Fiorentino hit .282 with 15 home runs and 65 RBIs with Double-A Bowie last season.
For the first time in three years, Jeff Fiorentino didn't get a call-up last season. The soon-to-be 25-year-old lost a bit of his luster as a prospect after posting a pedestrian .791 OPS at Double-A. He has above-average power and hits for a decent average, but his opportunity to become an impact major-league player is rapidly dwindling.
Like things, love people.
