The Series:The last time the Owls faced the Gator was back on Match 4, 2009, an eighth-inning sacrifice fly by Florida Atlantic’s Nick Criaris snapped a 6-6 tie, lifting the Owls to a 7-6 victory. FAU used a six-run sixth to erase a 4-0 deficit to secure a come from behind victory.

- [li]Freshman Steven Rodriguez will be making his starting debut from the toe rubber. The lefty has made 12 appearances out of the bullpen, pitch 17.1 inning and has 15 strikeouts, permitted four walks, surrendered 18 hits while allowing four runs.[/li]

[li]Dan Scheffler lead the Owls in batting with a .406 average, 14 home runs, 19 doubles and 53 run scored.[/li]
[li]Andy Mee (.404, 44 RBI) leads the team with 84 hits and tied with Colby Gratton (.270) with 3 triples. Has 15 doubles, third on the team with 7 home runs and has scored 46 times. [/li]
[li]As a team the Owls have a team batting average of .310 while the Owl's pitching staff have an ERA of 4.68 with 345 strike outs and holding opponents to a .277 batting average.[/li]
[li]The Owls hold a 12-10 out of conference record and are 3-4 when they played these games as road warriors.[/li]
